+ Honoring the Ancestors – Samhain

Samhain is upon us…

+ The Myth of Persephone & Demeter, Hecate & the Crossroads
+ Coming up to the Third and final Harvest marked by Halloween
+ Finding ways to honor the Cycle of Life – birth, death and rebirth
+ Trusting the Darkness of the final Cycle before the Winter Solstice
+ Connecting to my Ancestors & those who have come before me

What have I been thinking about?

I have been thinking about resting and going inside. I have been doing/expecting too much lately, so it is time to honor the TRUTH – that everything is going to be ok if I don’t kill myself trying to “make it happen!” Ha ha! I have also been thinking a lot about my father who pasted away 3 years ago, my grandmother and my beloved pet friends who have also died. I have been experiencing a great deal of “review” from 20 years ago… as I approach my 20 year High School Reunion and won my first medal as an adult last weekend running a 10k trail run (age group 30-39.) I am also approaching our year anniversary of moving to Petaluma – acknowledging that we are finally feeling more settled.
