This Week: Nov.1 – Nov. 7

Woop woop! We had been thinking of throwing a party every since we moved to Petaluma 2 years ago and felt we finally know enough people to pull it off. We cohosted with some dear friends who also recently moved here – our ridiculous DJ friend Patrick Numair aka DJ St. Patrick – he rocked it. It was a wonderful way to celebrate 2 years in Petaluma & it was delightful to share new friends with old ones. We then spent the rest of the weekend blissed-out and recovering. (And I will probably spend the rest of this week the same way.) Beyond that…

Days of the  Dead are Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 1-2. Guest blogger Emily K. Grieves wrote a terrific, inspiring post last Friday that you have to check out, Poetry of the Dead.

The Sun continues to shine in unpredicatable Scorpio and the Moon grows dark to join him this Friday Nov. 5th with a New Moon in Scorpio. We become keenly aware that something needs to die or be let go over in order to truly possess our own power & inner strenth… and yet, we don’t always know what that is. Scorpio asks us to get real and go deep. That being said, there is anyting in the “rule book” that says you can’t laugh along the way. Play is the easiest way to move energy. So put your “travelor’s clothes” on and take a journey into the dark, intuitive realms.

Like a child on Halloween night who wanders skeptically past the tombstones and creepy skeletons proped up & howling in the yard… let your mind be focus on the end game – CANDY. All you have to do is get to the door. Then it’s easy. Its a renactment of an ancient ritual of initiation. But you’ve got to make it past the ghosts and boogiemen in the yard first. Remind yourself that the boogieman screaming at you is not real. It’s an overpriced plastic toy sold at Longs for $8.99. You simply acknowledge your fear and you keep walking. BUT, when doubt creeps in, ask for help. Magical Unicorns are standing by.
