Today, Tuesday, February 7th, the Sun continues through Aquarius as the Full Moon roars into shiny Leo. This is one of my favorite moons because it is so creative and passionate. Passion, however, can quickly turn into melodrama if we are aren’t care-full. Instead of reprising our favorite dramatic role aka the drama queen, consider re-casting yourself into something you long to experience. Leo asks, how can I shine? Entertain the possibility of a new plot twist. Instead of blaming your partner or current condition, use Leo’s willful fire to initiate a creative mission! Leo is the artist, the charismatic leader, the STAR. The full moon in Leo calls us to express ourselves, shake our manes and share our shiny lion nature. The dramatic fire lion loves to play and perform, so let’s perform rituals that encourage us to live from the heart and support our creative muse with spontaneity and fun leading the way!
- Take a Sun bath
- Express yourself – scribble with crayons, sing, dance, paint!
- Answer this: As a child, what was I most passionate about?
- Invite Playful Romance into your life and/or relationship
- Give your Mane a Makeover
- Charge up your magical tools in the Full Moon Light
TIP + Clean Up Your Shit – I feel like I say this all the time – not just in my home, but to clients, friends and myself! Magic works best when there is room to move. February marks the early beginning of spring and the midpoint between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox. This is the time when the Great Mother, our Earth, becomes a Maiden once again. The word February comes from the word ‘Februa’, meaning cleansing or purification, so the rituals associated with this time are ones of cleaning, shaking out the rugs, de-cluttering, cleaning out the closets, the pantries, and taking stock of what you will need in the spring. If your home is in need of a deep cleaning but you don’t feel up for the task…call in a professional! That also goes for organizing, space clearing and all around sparkling.
The time of Brigid is upon us, Celtic Goddess of Fire and Sacred Wells. Her day is February 2 (also known as Ground Hog day) and marks the midpoint between Solstice and Equinox. Check out Magic for Mommies for a free download and more easy ideas to celebrate this time of year. (This is the website where I will be posting rituals for Mommies… which are also good for busy people and yes… the lazy folks as well.)
