Hello Little Fishies!
Today, Tuesday, February 21st, 2012 the New Moon slides into Pisces. Michele Lessirard describes this new moon with the mantra “I am the One who dreams in partnership with Spirit.” WTF does that mean? Let’s just say, you only need to do your part. So what is your part? Today, carve out some time to daydream, stare out the window, enter reverie… and notice what pops up in your consciousness when you ask that question. This New Moon joins the Sun in the realm of dreams, mystery, deep imagining and unconditional love. Caroline Casey reminds us, “Everything dissolves back into Pisces.” Take a moment to offer gratitude with a deep breath and a loose belly, for the long journey around the zodiac is coming to an end.
I don’t know about you, but I’ve been feeling quite sensitive for the last 4-5 days… and quite frankly, an over-sensitive Aries looks a lot like an a**hole (short tempered, moody, harsh, impatient… “over it.”) As I swam back to the surface yesterday with the awareness that it is normal & appropriate to feel over-sensitive right now I started to let myself off the hook, apologized to the ones I love and gave myself permission to start anew. (We went to the beach! see pic above.) As my dear friend Mary Swanson taught me, awareness changes everything. So, with increased awareness we can make choices that are more in alignment with who we really are. When I released blame and connected to the fair witness within myself, I recognized that what had been arising in my irritated-state was simply information I need for course-correction. Remember, feelings define Pisces. Once we can release the upset and embrace the gift of our own sensitivity, we can allow the energy of the Neptunium soaked moonbeams to wash over us, bringing the gifts of imagination, intuition, dreams, creativity, and compassion that will shift our mood and open our minds to new possibilities. It’s like going to Yumsville instead of Crazytown.
- Take a Nap – when you snooze, you muse!
- More Spring Cleaning – clean one drawer today (space = movement)
- Create Peace of Mind – when caught up with thoughts of others, breath and release them downstream!
- Just for today, don’t take anything personally
- Recommit to loving yourself unconditionally
My favorite meditation for this turn of the wheel,
TIP + FISHING FOR SPRING: This is the ultimate moon for dreaming. The last “hoorah” before it is time to “start something” in Aries. Pisces is symbolized by a two corded fish. One swims into the deep ocean of the unconscious, and the other swims out into the Universe of cosmic possibility. Utilizing the gift of Pisces, set aside some time to quietly sit and meditate. Invite the corded fish to join you. As you hold the center of the cord lightly, let each fish travel for you with the intention of retrieving information for what you will be planting in the springtime. (Feel free to create your own intention.) Hold the cord as they travel out to the deep, far-out places. After the count of 10, or when you are ready, gently give a tug to the cord and the fish will swim back. Ask your Piscean guides for the information, including the next tiny step. Thank them for their help and say goodbye. Now, seal the deal by making some art – externalize the information with a quick collage, poem, song, dance step.
